Who we are
Mammoth Climbing Guides is a small owner-operated guide service providing you with unparalleled custom climbing and backcountry ski adventures in the Eastern Sierra. We work with you to plan a trip that perfectly matches your abilities and your goals. Whether you’re completely new to climbing or are an expert ready for the next big summit or ski descent, our expert staff and low client to guide ratios ensure that you have the best trip possible.
Safety is our first priority when we go into the mountains which why all of our guides are required to be trained or certified by the American Mountain Guides Association or the Professional Climbing Guides Institute. All guides are also required to have current Wilderness First Responder Certifications or higher.
The Sierra Nevada Mountains are truly magical place to explore. We strive to protect and share with you these places that have become such large parts of who we are, not just as a guides, but as individuals as well. All of our courses have a built-in Leave No Trace component leaving the areas with visit often better than they were when we found them.

Mammoth Climbing Guides is located in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, CA, in the heart of the beautiful Eastern Sierra along HWY 395. Mammoth is nestled between Yosemite and Death Valley National Parks. Don’t skip out missing one of the wildest and most scenic areas in California.
