Who we are

Mammoth Climbing Guides is the premiere rock climbing guide service in the Eastern Sierra. We are a small owner-operated guide service based in Mammoth Lakes, CA. We pride ourselves on offering unparalleled custom climbing adventures. We work with you to plan a trip that perfectly matches your abilities and your goals. Whether you’re completely new to climbing or are an experienced climber ready for the next big summit, our expert, local and knowledgeable staff and our low client to guide ratios ensure that you have the best trip possible. We play with all ages 6 years old and up!

Safety is our first priority when we go into the mountains which is why all of our guides are required to be trained or certified by the American Mountain Guides Association. All guides are also required to have current Wilderness First Responder Certifications or higher. Our guides live and play locally and our knowledge of the area is comprehensive. We guarantee you’ll have the perfect day on the rocks.

The Sierra Nevada Mountains are truly magical place to explore. We strive to protect and share with you these places that have become such large parts of who we are, not just as a guides, but as individuals as well. All of our courses have a built-in Leave No Trace component leaving the areas we visit often better than they were when we found them.
